Rachel's very own photo album

Rachel looooves my (Mom's) photo album that I carry in my car everyday. She looks through it so much and with her not so delicate ways as of yet - she was about to destroy it. So, I gave her her very own. She loves it. She sits and looks thru it at least 2-3 times a day pointing to us all and saying "Baaaaaaabeeeee, or Baba and Mama". I can't tell you how this makes us feel.

Here's she's forming the B in Baaaabeeee with her lips

Princess is fascinated with Mom's boobie slings.

"How do you like my new wreath?"

I was obviously not paying attention as I exited the bathroom when I turned around -the camera just happened to be upon the bar - and saw one of Princess's latest brilliant ideas.

My lil Water-baby

I love these photos. Every night at bath time - Rachel's favorite part is of the water running and at the end when I run it again to get clean water to rinse her off with. We have this thing we do every night which is hard to photo: we stick our tongues into the water stream and sometimes even our faces. The expressions on her face are so priceless. Seeing things for the first time through an infants eyes is such a gift/blessing.

Special Time with my Mommy

NaiNai & YeYe got Princess a radio for her bathtub and we listen to it every night while taking our bath. Princess loves dancing with Mommy after we are lotioned down and drying off before bed time story and being rocked to sleep. Mommy really gets her exercise doing this too since Rachel has gained 7 lbs since we brought her home.

Rachel has gotten VERY VERY lovable and will actually grab my face and pull it in front of hers for many kisses throughout the day. Especially if Mommy gets busy and Rachel wants her to slow down and pay more attention to her. This works EVERY time too. Mommy just turns to mush and drops everything after these kisses are offered up.

"Hurray for Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies!"

Princess looooves her sweets. This Mom gives her very very little of it too - especially being a Dental Hygienist. But, during a weak moment Mommy bought and baked up some Toll House cookies for Princess. It was my Friday off and what better way to spend some quality time on a rainy & cold day with the light of one's life? Obviously Rachel liked them very much! We are very strict about her eating in the house. It almost always has to be either in her highchair or booster travel seat which I discovered works very nicely upstairs if she is hungry and I'm cleaning or doing somthing upstairs.

Here Rachel is signing & verbally saying "more?" with her hands. She knows quite a bit of sign and this really helps her and us to communicate better. She can sign the following: Mama, Baba, more, stop, sleep, gone gone, outside, book, cat, dog, horse, pig, water, milk, food or hungry, diaper, bath, thank you, no, yes.....and I forget the rest. Oh! She definitely knows Owee or hurt. She milks that one for sure!!! But, Mommy's kisses miraculously make all booboos much better.

Baba "I've got two strong hands I can help..........." as the song goes

Baba deserved this TV - he's only had our old one for 17 years now?! It blew last week while he was at home with Princess due to an intestinal bug that she had for two days & Daycare called for us to take her home. Can you imagine?!! Two whole days with a toddler: MAJOR near 2 year old attitude, the runs, no TV and YOU 'RE A MAN!!! No wonder it took him only a mere two more days to do some research and have this in the house - PRONTO!! And of course Princess is more than willing to help............with the box that is. She mostly just picked the Styrofoam apart and called for Mama to throw every lil piece away for her. The box didn't last long...........about as long as it took for me to turn this camera off after these photos.

Rachel loves the TV. She kisses it up close every night. Well, actually so does Baba............just not for the same reasons :)

"My bunny towel from Auntie Tina"

Auntie Tina gave this bunny towel to Rachel for Christmas. Rachel hates to be cold and right out of the bath this is a fun & warm alternative. And Mom and Baba think it's pretty darn cute too.
