PreK Presentation give by Baba and Boo

Over the past two weeks, Rachel's teacher - Miss Yvette has been teaching the children about OTHER countries around the world. She's asked that if any family has any special recipe or tidbit from where they, their families, or ancestors originated - to please bring it in to share. Last week - Rachel took some rice cookies from an Asian market in LA that she loves and the kids gobbled them up we were told. This week - Mommy put together a presentation with the help of Baba. With my scrapbooking skills I created a poster board with either pasted pics or hot glued on 3-D images of actual things around the house and WHALLAH! We dressed Boo and Baba took time off work to help her with the presentation. After the presentation about things that originally came from China - Boo served everyone the chicken potstickers (compliments to Panda Express since Mommy got in late night before) complete w/ appropriately sized take out boxes & chopsticks. I think it was a hit. Rachel LOVES her teacher who she calls Miss Yabett. We take her drawings, flowers, fresh garden tomatoes, and stickers when ever Rachel thinks to - which is often. Miss Yabett's (Yvette's) name is used frequently around the house when we tell Rachel that she CANNOT do or have something :) We are so blessed to have her as Rachel's PreK teacher.
