I would like to take this time out in this blog to say how grateful we are to have been so blessed not only with the gift of Rachel thus part of her name Rachel Qiu Liwu Burnett - the "Liwu" meaning (gift/blessing), but to the other families that we were blessed to have met as well on this mutual journey of a lifetime.

We will never ever forget you and your precious babies and so hope to be able to keep in touch over the years to come. Our babies were as close to sisters as any they will ever have as far as those being from China. We enjoyed being w/ everyone so very much. Even through the tears, babies crying and screaming in the hotels, all of those bus rides, sharing of stories of this and that. I hope you too feel that bond as strong as I do and continue to keep the link in the chain we have created unbroken over the upcoming years. Life is in session - please attend.

Thank you to Lisa and John, Cynthia, Ann and her sister Catherine, Tracy and John, and all of the other families. And thank you the most to Val and Dick Free for taking us into your arms with your agency and making this journey not only a true learning experience over the past 29 months but a joy. Thank you to Andria & Kerri and to our social worker Maggie!! Heartsent held our hand through EVERY single detail and we never felt confused, mislead or most of all uninformed. If Baba has his way - we will return to Heartsent in a couple of years for a brother to Rachel.
