Nana and Peepaw meet their grandaughter Rachel for the first time!!!

To say that it was love at first sight would be a gross understatement!! My parents (Kimberly's) arrived to a still burning Southern California on Thursday October 25th. The fires were well out in our area - thankfully. The time just flew by way too quickly. Thank goodness the holidays are right around the corner and we will see them again soon. Rachel took to Nana and Peepaw very quickly. She was a little shy at first. Then later on even on day one Rachel said "Nana" and gave Peepaw his first kiss. Of course Peepaw was holding out the raisinettes on her for one - but whatever works. Then after this first one - it was easier to get kisses from her and more freely. I don't think I carried, put or retrieved Rachel from her car seat ONE time while they were here. Peepaw would swoop down and be to it before I could even get unbuckled :) And Nana is a smoker so every time she would go out onto the back patio - Rachel was on her heels to go too.....gladly!! The parents attended an adoption class with us - which I think very much made them feel a part of. When the class was over and everyone was talking to Tim and I due to be excited for our being back from China with our Princess - Rachel was no where to be found. Coincidentally neither was Peepaw or Nana? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm? I think they would have liked to have taken her back to Georgia with them :) Now, Rachel will get to meet Nai Nai and Ye Ye for Thanksgiving. Rachel is very blessed to have WONDERFUL grandparents!!!
